Grand Haven Rotary Musical Lights.....is a new gift to the Grand Haven area. The project integrates the creativity of Brad Boyink and the leadership of the Rotary Club of Grand Haven. The Grand Haven Musical Fountain Committee and the City of Grand Haven support it; community volunteers will staff it.
The display contains over 138,000 lights, 90% of which are energy efficient LEDs. The display power consumption is less than 500 watts / 90 amps when everything is lit. It takes an average of 10-15 hours to program a single song because there are 20 lighting control computers networked together to operate the show, which is completely automated. It took 42,000 feet of wire and over 10,000 zip ties to hook up the 328 independent zones over a 2.5 month time span.

The Grand Haven Musical Fountain’s Annual Nativity Scene Program on Dewey Hill
Sponsored by the Grand Haven Rotary Club, now through December 24, 2008. The eight-minute program of Christmas music, visual displays and narration will be presented continuously from 7:00 PM to 9:00PM each evening, with two minute breaks between programs. The Grand Haven Nativity Scene is recognized as one of the largest Nativity Scene displays in the world with camels and angels thirty feet in height. The many scenes, the manger, the town of Bethlehem, the shepherds tending sheep are all equally proportioned. The towering Star of Bethlehem, located high on the sand dune, shines down on all. Built in 1964, the magnificent scene has become a Tri-Cities Christmas tradition.
